Meet Lorraine May

Lorraine May is a Melbourne-based author with a story rooted in extraordinary women and the quiet courage it takes to build a life from scratch.

She is currently writing The Ironopolis Files, a 10-book series inspired by her own family history — specifically her grandmother, who agreed to uproot her family from Middlesbrough, England, and sail to Australia in the 1950s with no network, no safety net, and no shortage of determination. That spirit — women accomplishing extraordinary things in the spaces men forgot to watch — is the heartbeat of every book in the series.

Lorraine lives in Melbourne with her husband, son, and a very enthusiastic Springer Spaniel. She runs on coffee (hence the mugs in the shop!) and believes the best stories are the ones hiding in plain sight in our own family histories.

Find Lorraine's books on Goodreads, Amazon, and Kindle.
